Fan Speed Control support for Google Home

When a device is marketed as works with Google Home, people expect it to fully work. i recently got the 4 node switch with fan speed control, but was disappointed to see that the fan speed doesn’t work with Google Home UI. as per earlier discussion here I’ve seen that voice commands work, but UI doesn’t work at all. it shows a drop-down but there are no options available in it. please fix this issue.

This is a Google home UI limitation as far as we know.

I’m sorry, but can you elaborate a little more? i just read through that documentation and it does look like it supports preset speeds, i cannot find where the limitation is. the documentation also mentions relative fan speed control, which is not supported by the device as well. if i issue a voice command saying “reduce the fan speed” google replies that the device doesn’t support that functionality. only asking it to set fan speed to “high”, “medium” and “low” works.

I’ve read through some more disscussion about the UI support and it does seem like a widespread google home issue, but my query regarding relative speeds still stands. why doesnt voice commands for relative speed work?

Can you try similar product from any other brand ?

We can only implement what Google has documented. Apart from that we have no control.
