with new google home integrations, you can login to desktop site of home, and use the script editor to write and create custom commands.
tinxy is very well supported for that too.
but unfortunately there is a very prominent lag/latency issue with physical manual switch operation and updating that on google home app.
For eg. if you want you can turn a physical manual switch ON which is connected to a particular tinxy switch, and by turning that switch on you can easily run a custom command on your google home like even if you want it to turn your smart tv on and start streaming the front door camera on that TV. I am using the same automation with tinxy switch as a doorbell
the door bell has to be kept pressed for atleast 30 seconds so that the google home app gets to know that the switch has been turned on,while it instantly updates over on tinxy app.
So the whole issue is it takes considerable amount of time between switching manual switch on and showing in google home that the switch is on , to run that automation. sometimes it can take upto 60-90 seconds.
If there’s a way to reduce that latency it can greatly increase the possible automations that can be achieved using manual switches and other products from multiple brands without even thinking about them being compatible with tinxy or even each other.
