I have installed the Tinxy Smart switches at home and one of the 2 nodes switch automatically turned Off and On after some time approx. every one hour.
In activity logs it states that “Restore state has turned ON the device”. I have no idea what exactly is going on? How can fix it so my light will not turned off or ON by themselves.
If anyone knows please let me know how can I fix this problem.
It sounds like your Tinxy Smart Switch is automatically turning on and off because of the “Restore state on power” feature.
What is “Restore State on Power”?
This feature is used to decide what your Tinxy device should do when there’s a power cut.
- If “Restore state” is ON, and the light was ON before a power cut, the device will automatically turn the light ON again when power returns.
- If “Restore state” is OFF, the switch will stay OFF when power returns, regardless of its previous state.
Why is it turning on/off randomly every hour?
If you’re seeing logs like “Restore state has turned ON the device” but there hasn’t been a power cut, then it might be:
- A voltage fluctuation or brief power drop that triggers the device.
- A software glitch in the Tinxy system.
- A faulty device.
How to fix it:
- Check the power supply in your home—especially if the issue happens regularly around the same time.
- Reset the Tinxy device and set it up again. This can clear out any misconfigurations.
- Contact Tinxy Customer Support. They can check for any firmware/software issues and may offer to update it for you remotely.
- If the problem continues, ask for a replacement—Tinxy often provides free replacements for faulty units.
