Tinxy door sensor why is it sold with a 4 node module in amazon

Amazon has the following. Door Sensor for Home Automation. Strange enough, that is not listed on the tinxy site.

I have existing tinxy switches and I am looking for a door sensor.

My questions are,

  1. why is the door sensor bundled with a 4 node switch ? Does the door sensor need a eva hub and that eva hub is built-in into the 4 node switch module ?
  2. How is the door sensor powered ? Is it a AAA battery, CR2032 ? What is it ?

  1. Our door sensor and motion sensor works with all of our nodes which have sensor listening capability. All nodes can be ordered with that ability at no cost if required separately

  2. Hub not required for door sensor . Only for Eva devices

3.door sensor comes with coin cell. Available in the market

Can the door sensor be used to trigger alexa routines ?

No. You can trigger Tinxy scenes for now.

Can one 4 switch with controller be used for multiple door sensors ? Or does each sensor need a 4 switch unit with controller ?

Yes , any node with EVA (listening) capability can handle any number of sensors or remotes.

You just need to check the range. If there are range issues , you would have to bring them closer or buy another node to listen .

The information is somewhat misleading. The guides related to adding the door sensors are not available as document or any youtube video. Just wanted to update here for the benefit of others who are planning to buy the Door/Window Sensor. Please be aware, we need Tinxy switches with RF capability to add these door sensors.It is not compatible with other 2, 4 or 6 Node Smart Switches. I learnt this hard way by buying a 4 Node Switch along with Door Sensor due to no document availability. The sales teams also didn’t bother about validating the sensor and switch compatibility that I have ordered

All our nodes can be converted to RF by adding the RF module to the node by the production team. If you buy with any sensor, you get RF by default.

PFA Instruction - These are also included with all RF nodes.

Remote/ Door Sensor/ Motion Sensor Pairing
Remote / Sensors need to be paired after the device has been paired with your WiFi router and working from the Tinxy app. Remote / Sensors will not work without the following steps.
To Pair go to “Remotes” under the device’s menu. Follow the instructions on the app

I have received a call from the support team, Thanks for passing the concern to the respective team. After that I didn’t get any update from them. I am stuck with the door sensor without any option to connect.
